Jan Forsmark
Trained as a secondary school engineer specializing in electric power and an electrical installer with general certification. Since 2020, a professional member of the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers).
A multi-award-winning lighting designer, he was among the winners of the Swedish Lighting Award in 2011 and received an Honorable Mention in the Swedish Lighting Award in 2019.
When Jan started the lighting design company 'Designat Ljus Europa AB' in 2012, he had over 25 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing lighting installations.
In 2020, Jan was named the Formbärare of the Year by Svensk Form, where the following lines were part of the citation: He works quietly but is well-known throughout the country for his work as a lighting designer. Jan's work with lighting leaves an impact and adds value to people through all the projects he is involved in. Lighting design with creativity and quality that both enriches the urban landscape and creates ambiance in the woodland glade.
